Dephine Mazambani-Mutafera is a holder of a Master of Science Degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe which she completed in 2008, Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Project Management Institute of Zimbabwe. She joined BAZ in 2018 as the Chief Economist. Some of her duties include; producing industry position papers; Development of industry data base on various economic aggregates; monitoring Economic trends and their impact on banking sector; production of monthly banking sector bulletin and production of regular publications on specific research assignments of interest to the banking industry Previously she worked for the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries for 10years, joining the organization as an Economist and rising through the ranks and becoming Chief Economist in 2015, a position she held until joining BAZ. In her capacity as the Chief Economist, Mazambani-Mutafera was responsible for drafting manufacturing sector positions and inputs into key Government policies. She also steered the CZI Manufacturing Sector Survey, the CZI Quarterly Business Confidence Index among other key projects. Before Joining CZI, she worked briefly for the Central Statistics office (now ZIMSTAT) as a Statistician. She also worked for the University of Zimbabwe as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and has lectured at the Women’s University in Africa and Bindura University of Science Education.
Clive holds a BSc Honours Degree in Economics and is a full Associate of the Institute of Bankers of Zimbabwe (AIOBZ). He is also an Alumni with the ACI Institute (UK) and holds a certificate in Marketing Management with the Zimbabwe Institute of Management. Clive has also undergone extensive formal training in Credit Assessment, Derivatives and Structured Finance and Asset Liability Management.
Clive has over 16 years of experience in various senior roles in Banking, Treasury, Asset Management, Microfinance and the business media.
As Advocacy Executive, Clive is tasked with putting across to the private and public sectors, the thrust of the banking industry in Zimbabwe, whilst articulating the workings of the banking industry to the various stakeholder groups.
He is the key driver of the BAZ’s financial literacy and financial inclusion programmes which are being geared particularly to ensure that the unbanked segments are well informed on matters related to banking and are brought under the ambit of formal banking.
Sue has been with the Bankers Association of Zimbabwe since 2008. Prior to joining BAZ she was with OK Zimbabwe and Cellular Unique a subsidiary of Telecel Zimbabwe. She is a holder of the following qualifications: - Pitman Secretarial Diploma (City & Guilds - London), Selling & Sales Management Certificate (London Chamber of Commerce and Industries LCCI), Information Systems –Certificate (Business & Computing Examinations - BCE), Information Technology – Diploma (Business & Computing Examinations - BCE), Business Communication Certificate (Institute of Administration and Commerce – IAC), Software Engineering Diploma (School of Java – SOJ)
Edgar is the Finance and Administration Manager of BAZ. Previously he worked for a banking institution for seven years. He is a holder of, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Zimbabwe Diploma (CIS), Executive Certificate in Treasury Management with the University of Zimbabwe and an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting with Chartered Institute of Management Accounting (CIMA).He is an effective team player.
